Hit the re-set button at Scenic World

Need a dose of sunshine, good vibes and epic adventures after a long winter of hibernation? Look no further, Scenic World has got you covered.

There’s no denying, 2020 has thrown us a doozy. From bushfires to floods and a global pandemic, this year will make a chapter of its own in the history books. But sunny skies and untouched wilderness are the perfect combination to hit the re-set button and rediscover the spring in your step this season.

Staycation is the buzz word of 2020, so what better excuse than to explore your own backyard – the Blue Mountains. Scenic World is the perfect starting point, serving up epic vistas, world class rides and customer service that will leave you with a smile.

The Scenic Railway still holds the title as the world’s steepest railway, but like everything in 2020, a few things have changed.

Due to physical distancing, the Scenic World experience now includes all unique attractions in a pre-approved circuit, which takes roughly one hour. It’s called the Scenic Route.

·       Take in World Heritage panoramas with a return trip between cliff tops on the Scenic Skyway;
·       Descent into the Jamison Valley on the Scenic Railway;
·       Stroll under the canopy of a temperate rainforest on the Scenic Walkway, and
·       Glide past ancient sandstone cliffs, the Three Sisters & Orphan Rock on the Scenic Cableway.

Scenic World has also reduced its capacity, which gives you more space to soak up the sunshine with your loved ones.

The crisp mountain air and our hallmark landscapes haven’t changed a bit, making the Blue Mountains a must for Sydneysiders looking for a weekend escape. And the best part, it’s only 90 minutes from your doorstep.

Dust off your hiking boots for a little adventure, with more than 100kms of walking tracks to be explored. The Prince Henry Cliff Walk ticks all the right boxes, with a gentle stroll giving way to jaw dropping views across the Jamison Valley. This little gem serves as the gateway between Scenic World and the Three Sisters, so you can catch all the favourites from the one place.

Catch a ride on the world’s steepest railway, re-connect with nature among towering ancient rainforest, snap Insta-worthy pics from the top of the escarpment, and see the Three Sisters in all their glory.

Whether you’re after a relaxed weekend to escape the city, a romantic getaway, or a jam packed adventure, the Blue Mountains is calling. We’ve missed you!
