Sculpture at Scenic World 2021 winners

Congratulations to Camie Lyons who took home the $20,000 Scenic World Major Award for her artwork, Stick Figures.

Congratulations to Sydney-based artist, Camie Lyons, who took home the $20,000 Scenic World Major Award at the 2021 Sculpture at Scenic World exhibition launch.

The judges recognised Camie's artwork, Stick Figures, as a "mythical" creation that was well integrated into the landscape, using a surprising transformation of materials.

Exhibiting artists Torin Francis and Paul Greedy were also highly commended for creating engaging works that respond to the environment in unique ways.

Marking a first for the exhibition, two artists were commended with the $5,000 Environmental Award; Louis Pratt's Legacy & Regret, and Mari Hirata's Sentinels

Camie Lyons also took home the $1,000 Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Exhibition Opportunity, and Torin Francis' artwork, Way, was a crowd favourite, winning the $2,000 Scenic World Staff's Choice Award.

Congratulations to all exhibiting artists, and special mention to exhibition curator Justin Morrissey and the entire installation crew for putting together yet another stellar exhibition.
