The Blue Mountains is home to some of the most impressive private and public gardens around. Wandering through gorgeous green spaces is the perfect way to get back to nature.

Everglades House & Gardens is a quintessential Leura experience, with its spacious manicured grounds and striking Art Deco homestead. Wander through time among the European-style gardens, look out over the Jamison Valley from various lookouts and take in the tranquil Reflection Pool. Bookings essential.

The kids will be tuckered out after a day exploring Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mt Tomah! Entry is free, and you can easily spend hours wandering around Australia’s premier cool-climate botanic garden on a warm Spring day. Unfortunately, their renowned restaurant The Potager is currently closed due to COVID-19, so why not pack a picnic and make the most of the picturesque views of the northern Blue Mountains while you're there!


Leura brings old world charm to the Blue Mountains with its historic houses, gorgeous gardens, world-class restaurants and unique shops. This vibrant garden village is packed with hidden gems just waiting to be explored! 

Housing the most extensive collection of 20th century toys, trains and associated memorabilia in the Southern Hemisphere, Leuralla Toy and Railway Museum will entertain the young and young at heart!
Explore the historic mansion and model railway displays set among 12 acres of beautiful gardens, Leuralla is an excellent spot to experience the Leura's old school charm 

Introduce your kids to the wonderful world of milk bottles, false teeth and Choo Choo Bars with a visit to the The Candy Store. With over 2,000 lollies, chocolates, fudges, nougats and toffees to choose from, this place is bound to get your family excited. And we can't go past Josophan’s – Fine Chocolate! Known for creating extraordinary fine, handcrafted chocolates right in the heart of Leura, Josophan’s is a must-visit for any sweet tooth. 

Leura Mall is buzzing with boutiques and trendy cafes. The kids will adore Leura Toy Shop a cave of wonders for toy lovers, and Megalong Books sporting one of the best children’s sections in the country!


Get moving and breathe in the fresh mountain air with a hike through some of the most pristine wilderness in the world. The Blue Mountains is made up of over one million hectares of National Park just waiting to be explored!
Some of our go-to family friendly walks include Lyrebird Dell walking track and Gordon Falls Reserve both located in the picturesque town of Leura. Meanwhile, Prince Henry Cliff Walk takes you from the main Scenic World building, past Katoomba Falls and straight to the iconic Three Sisters.
