Scenic World is COVIDSafe!

We're thrilled to welcome you back to the Blue Mountains, continuing as always to operate to a safe and memorable experience for our visitors.

We're excited to welcome you back to Scenic World to experience the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, our rides and attractions.
Please see below a list of Frequently Asked Questions to help plan your visit. 

IS SCENIC WORLD OPEN?

Yes, Scenic World is thrilled to welcome fully vaccinated guests (aged 16+) once again. Visitors aged under 16 are not required to be fully vaccinated, but must travel with a fully vaccinated adult.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS?

Tickets are available online only HERE. We strongly advise guests to purchase tickets prior to arrival and review the latest health advice before you travel.

DO I NEED TO BE VACCINATED TO VISIT SCENIC WORLD?

Yes. In line with the Public Health Order, Scenic World is only open to fully vaccinated guests until December 15. Visitors are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination status upon entry.

COVID-19 vaccination is not required for visitors under the age of 16, however they must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult.

WHAT IF I AM NOT YET VACCINATED?

In line with the current Public Health Order, unvaccinated guests are welcome to purchase tickets for entry from December 15, 2021.

HOW DO I SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION?

Visitors will be able to show proof of COVID vaccination in a similar way that you check in to venues via the Service NSW QR app. Click HERE for more information.

There are several options to access and share proof of COVID vaccination:

  • COVID-19 digital certificate: can be accessed through the Express Plus Medicare mobile app or Medicare online account through myGov. The COVID digital certificate can be added to a smartphone wallet or similar. Visit Services Australia for instructions.
  • Printed version of the COVID-19 digital certificate (available through myGov)
  • COVID digital certificate can also be added to a Service NSW app and shared as part of a QR check-in. Visit nsw.gov.au for details.

For people without a Medicare card:

  • Call the Australian Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809 and ask for immunisation history statement to be posted.
  • Add vaccination certificate to a smartphone wallet using the Individual Healthcare Identifiers service.
  • Access immunisation history statement from My Health Record.

For people without a smartphone or online access:

  • COVID digital certificate can be accessed via myGov to download and print. 

For people with a medical exemption:

  • Guests will need to have information about their medical contraindication added to their immunisation history.

IS IT SAFE TO VISIT SCENIC WORLD? 

Absolutely! Scenic World is a COVIDSafe business and we are continuing to work closely with health and safety experts to implement an extensive COVIDSafe plan which aligns with best practice and reflects the latest recommendations and advice from NSW Health.

As a result, our visitor experience has changed. Social distancing and hand sanitising stations are now part of our daily operations, and all rides and hard surfaces are regularly sanitised. All visitors are also required to check in via the NSW Health app and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination status upon arrival.

ARE MASKS MANDATORY FOR VISITORS? 

Yes. In line with NSW Health advice, masks are required on our rides (as they are classified as public transport), and indoors.

DO I HAVE TO CHECK-IN ON ARRIVAL? 

Yes. All visitors are required to check in with the NSW Health app upon arrival. QR codes are easily accessible at all check-in points, and staff are readily available to assist all customers.  
Visitors are encouraged to download the Service NSW app prior to arrival to streamline the check-in process. 
Visitors without the app will be directed to an online forms. Staff are happy to assist visitors without a smart phone. 

BORDER RESTRICTIONS HAVE IMPACTED MY PLANS TO VISIT SCENIC WORLD. CAN I VISIT AT ANOTHER TIME? 

We understand COVID-19 knows no boundaries. We are offering our friends whose travel plans have been interrupted by border closures to visit Scenic World at another time. Please contact our friendly Experience Planning team to manage your booking on info@scenicworld.com.au or (02) 4780 0200.
