Online bookings are essential, to purchase tickets, click here.
IS IT SAFE TO VISIT SCENIC WORLD?
Scenic World is a COVIDSafe business.
We have worked closely with authorities to develop and implement an extensive COVIDSafe plan which is line with best practice and reflects all the latest recommendations and advice from NSW Health.
As a result, our visitor experience has changed.
In line with physical distancing guidelines, Scenic World experiences now operate in a pre-approved circuit, while our capacity has also dramatically reduced (around 65%) to limit the number of people on site.
Our rides capacity has also been significantly reduced to support physical distancing guidelines.
Social distancing and hand sanitising stations are now part of our daily operations, and all rides and hard surfaces are regularly deep cleaned. Scenic World front-of-house staff also wear face masks as part of their uniform.
In line with advice from NSW Health, all visitors are required to check in via the NSW Health app upon arrival, and all guests are required to wear face masks on our rides and indoor settings. Please note, these measures are now a condition of entry to protect the safety and wellbeing of our valued staff and guests.
IS KATOOMBA CONSIDERED A HOTSPOT?
While the Blue Mountains is considered part of the Greater Sydney region, there are currently no active cases in the Blue Mountains. You can access the latest health advice, including hotspots here.
ARE MASKS MANDATORY FOR VISITORS?
In line with NSW Health advice, face masks are now mandatory for visitors in all Scenic World rides and indoor settings, including the Scenic World main building. Please note, this is a condition of entry.
NSW Health advises that mandatory masks do not apply to the following:
a) persons aged 12 years or under;
b) persons with a physical or mental health illness or condition, or disability, that makes wearing a fitted face covering unsuitable including, for example, a skin condition, an intellectual disability, autism or trauma.
Please note, authorities may be on site at any time to enforce the compliance of face masks. Non-compliance may result in a $200 on-the-spot fine.
WHAT IF I CANNOT WEAR A MASK?
While masks are now mandatory indoors and on our rides, we understand that some exemptions apply. Please advise our staff upon arrival if you are not able to wear a face mask.
Please note, visitors who are unable to wear a face mask may be approached by NSW Health and asked to provide a reason for exemption.
We also ask that all Scenic World visitors consider the needs of people who may not be able to wear a face mask.
WHEN CAN I TAKE OFF MY MASK?
Visitors are not required to wear a face mask in outdoor settings (such as on the rainforest boardwalks), or when eating in the Café or EATS270/Dino Diner.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE A MASK?
Face masks are available for purchase for $2 at Scenic World. Masks can be purchased at ticket counters, pop-up cafes, and at the Terrace Café.
DO I HAVE TO CHECK-IN ON ARRIVAL?
All visitors are required to check in with the NSW Health app upon arrival. QR codes are easily accessible at all check-in points, and staff are readily available to assist all customers.
Visitors are encouraged to download the Service NSW app prior to arrival to streamline the check-in process.
Visitors without the app will be directed to an online forms. Staff are happy to assist visitors without a smart phone.
Scenic World staff also ask a number of simple screening questions upon arrival, including: |
1. Do you have any cold or flu-like symptoms?
2. Are you waiting for a Covid-19 test result; travelled from overseas in the past 14 days; or have been told to self-isolate?
3. Have you been in contact with anyone who has a suspected or confirmed case of Covid-19?
