SCENIC RAILWAY
The Scenic Railway is steep; it travels at a maximum speed of 16km per hour down and up a 52° incline. It is not wheelchair accessible, nor suitable for guests with serious neck or back injuries.
For comfort and safety on the Railway:
- Guests must be able to maintain an upright seated posture.
- Guests must be able to support themselves independently for the duration of the ride using either their arms or legs (amputees’ prosthesis must be fitted).
- Guests must be able to embark and disembark the Railway independently or with assistance from a Carer. Staff cannot assist with lifting or moving guests.
- Guests requiring a Carer must be accompanied by a Carer for the ride duration.
- Prams, strollers and some mobility aids are not permitted on the Railway.
SCENIC SKYWAY
The Skyway is wheelchair accessible. Take the elevator from the ground floor to the 3rd and enter through the gate.
SCENIC CABLEWAY
The Scenic Cableway is wheelchair accessible and connects to a wheelchair accessible length of the Scenic Walkway.
SCENIC WALKWAY
A 380-metre length of the Scenic Walkway is wheelchair accessible between the Cableway’s base station and Railway base station. We advise our longer walks (Lillipilli Link & Yellow Robin Link) are not wheelchair accessible due to instances of steep 1:7 slopes and multiple, narrow stairs.
