A piece of history
Originally built for mining purposes in 1878, the Scenic Railway was converted into a recreational ride for tourists in 1945 by Harry Hammon. Today Scenic World is still owned and operated by the Hammon family.

All our rides operate in all types of weather. You will experience the natural beauty of the rainforest in the rain. Our climate makes the Blue Mountains unique.
Only small foldable strollers that easily fit on your lap can go on the Railway. However, you can take all prams and strollers on the Cableway and Skyway. Ask about pram parking when you check in at the ticket box.
No, all Scenic World passes include unlimited rides on all rides. This includes if you start your journey in the valley. Explore at your own pace and even leave and come back on the same day before close.
