What makes the Skyway unique?

The original Scenic Skyway opened in 1958 as Australia's first cable car. Today it is largest aerial cable car in the Southern Hemisphere with views like none other of the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, and the Jamison Valley.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time is the last ride?

Last ride times vary depending on factors such as the day of week, the time we close, and weather conditions. Ask about the last rides of the day when you check in.

How often do the rides depart?

Rides depart every 10 minutes from the main building and Skyway East station (across the valley).

What happens if it rains?

All our rides operate in all types of weather. You will experience the natural beauty of the rainforest in the rain. Our climate makes the Blue Mountains unique.

Can I bring a pram or stroller?

Yes! You can take prams and strollers on the Skyway. We also have pram parking in the main building if you prefer to leave it behind while you explore.

Can I get a one-way ticket?

No, all Scenic World passes include unlimited rides on all rides. This includes if you start your journey at Skyway East station (across the valley). With your pass you can explore Scenic World at your own pace and even leave and come back on the same day before we close.
