Scenic World is an all-weather attraction. Our rides still operate in the rain. The Railway, Skyway and Cableway cabins are enclosed to provide shelter. Rain ponchos and umbrellas are available for purchase onsite.
We recommend allowing between two and three hours to explore all of Scenic World. This includes riding all three rides (the Scenic Railway, Skyway and Cableway), and walking along the rainforest boardwalks (the shortest board walk takes around 10 minutes for our most accessible walk, which is around 500 metres).
All rides take a few minutes and depart from all platforms around every 10 minutes.
Wait times will depend on whether you are visiting during our busier period (e.g. school holidays and weekends) or quieter times of the year (e.g. weekdays outside school holidays).
No, we are a cashless site. We accept most major credit cards and direct debit cards.
Yes!
You can take a pram or stroller on the Cableway, Skyway, and on some parts of the boardwalk in the rainforest (the Scenic Walkway).
No prams can go on the Railway - but small foldable strollers that easily fit on your lap can.
Pram access is limited on some parts of the rainforest boardwalk (the Scenic Walkway) because of steep gradients and multiple stairs.
You can also park your pram in our building while you explore.
Ask our team when you check-in about your options.
We have free parking for our guests in our multi-storey carpark. More information about getting to us is here.

Tickets & bookings
We recommend booking online in advance to get the best prices and secure your spot. This includes for Annual Passholders.
During our peak periods like public and school holidays, bookings are often only available online (not at the ticket box).
Walk-up tickets (at the ticket box) are available when sessions are not sold out outside our peak periods like school and public holidays. Popular sessions often sell out in advance, and we recommend booking your spot before you get here to avoid disappointment.
Your session time is valid for 30 minutes to give you time to arrive and check-in at the ticket box. After you check-in you can stay (and leave) as much as you like before we close.
If you are running late, please contact us.
You can easily manage your own booking when you set up an account (either at the time of your booking or after). Click here for instructions.

Rides & Boardwalks
All our rides leave around every 10 minutes from whichever platform you are departing from.
We recommend planning between two and three hours to explore all of Scenic World. All rides are roughly five-minute journeys. Rides depart from all platforms around every 10 minutes.
Waiting times for the rides at Scenic World vary depending on how busy it is. During quiet periods queues may be 0-10 minutes and during our busy periods wait times of 40-60 minutes can be expected. It is also a requirement that all guests exit the rides at each station, including in the valley and at Skyway East station, and then join the queue to board the ride again.
If you want to change rides in the valley, you will need to walk along a boardwalk. You can choose from any of our three interconnecting rainforest boardwalks in the valley - they take 10 minutes, 30 minutes or 50 minutes depending on which you do. They are an incredible way to experience the Jamison Valley.
The shortest route between the bottom platform of the Cableway and Railway is via the 10-minute boardwalk (10 minutes). It is suitable for guests with limited mobility including wheelchairs and prams.
For more information about accessibility at Scenic World click here.
Last ride times vary depending on factors such as the day of week, the time we close, and weather conditions. Ask about the last rides of the day when you check in.
No, all Scenic World passes include unlimited rides on all rides. This includes if you start your journey in the valley. Explore at your own pace and even leave and come back on the same day before close.
