Curated by Gundungurra Custodian and Indigenous Engagement Officer, David King, we are excited to present two workshops on Tuesday 4 July and Thursday 6 July to celebrate and connect with Gundungurra Country, the place where we live, work and journey on.
Acknowledgement of Country – art workshop
Join Wiradjuri Artist and Creator of Bilingarra, Brett Groves, for painting, yarning and laughs. Create your very own Acknowledgement of Country Art under his guidance. Ticket price includes 20cm x 25cm canvas for each person, paint and brushes. Recommended for ages 5 and up, for and any skill level.

Welcome to bush tucker plants
Greg Smith is the owner of 'Yama 2 You Bush Tucker Nursery' an Indigenous nursery in the Southern Highlands, NSW. Learn about different native plants and bush tucker. Gain insight into their cultural significance, including their traditional uses, how they can be prepared, eaten and made for medicinal purposes. Recommended for ages 5 and up.
Thursday 6 July 8:30am-10am.
National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year, to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
